The experts made reviews on Powershot A2000IS and the summary are coming as following:

  • Jeff Keller from Dcresource gave out Canon Powershot A2000IS Review in conclusion”I like the PowerShot A2000 IS — it’s a good choice in the entry-level, midzoom category, and I can recommend it, as long as you’re not a big low light shooter. As I’ve said throughout this review, the PowerShot A2000 is definitely a step down from the A720 that came before it. I can only hope that Canon gets the message and releases something in the near future with manual controls, conversion lens support, and an optical viewfinder that made the A720 so great.” Read more…
  • Cliff Smith from Trustedreviews Verdict Powershot A2000IS “The Canon PowerShot A2000 IS is a little expensive for a mid-level compact, and the overall build quality and low-angle monitor may cause some disappointment. The lack of the usual A-series manual exposure options and optical viewfinder may also put off some potential buyers. However the camera is extremely easy to use, the wide zoom range is very versatile and the performance and picture quality are well up to the high standard we’ve come to expect from Canon. ” Read More …
  • Cameras.co.uk Verdict the Canon Powershot A2000IS Reviews like that”The Canon Powershot A2000 IS a very good choice if you are looking for a digital camera that takes a good picture and offers good value for money. It does not have beautiful looks, but if its photo quality you are after than the Powershot A2000 IS ticks most of the right boxes.” Read more …

Some Customer From Amazon.com Look at Canon Powershot A2000IS 10MP Digital Camera with 6x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

  • By Samuel M. Stone “ninghaoma” (Paramus, NJ United States) - Right for the price“I think this camera deserves four stars. I have used at least 10 digital cameras in the past 10 years, not counting the SLRs. At this price, $249, I think what this camera offers is as good as you can get from a pocket camera. There are some pros and cons but the pros far outweigh the cons. I like the A2000’s solid feel and weight, unlike the flimsy feel of the most other recent A series, such as my A570is. The pictures are as good as, if not better than, any pocket camera at this price. There are complaints about noise, but again find me better pictures from the same class of cameras.The features, however, are what please me. I am not going to repeat them since it’s on the product description, but the use of AA batteries and 6x zoom are must haves for me. For better pictures quality, I use my SLR, but for pocket convenience, I’ll just enjoy this for the time being, until the technology catches up with our unquenchable taste. “
  • By J. Bennett “jbenn429″ (Harrisburg, Pa) - excellent camera in this price range/category“easy to use, takes great pictures, in this price range/category you can’t do any better..i did a lot of research. I initially did not like the AA battery power source, but like very much now that I found good hybrid rechargeable batteries, though the shutter does lag moreso with this power source. The zoom on this camera is awesome. the 3 inch view screen is nice in size, but very hard to see in the sun..even with setting on brightest setting and the resolution is just ok. solid build quality, a little bigger than most cameras in this price range and does not fit in the hand that easy. Besides these few minor gripes, i highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a quality point and shoot with a good zoom and 10 megapixels.”

    @Eáránë
    So you want everything except for your subject to have that nice out of focus look?

    This isn’t very easy to do on a point and shoot or compact digital camera.

    I won’t give you the long story why it’s easier on a dSLR and not so easy on a camera like yours, it won’t help you anyway.

    Back when I shot almsot everything on a little digital cam, I noticed that I only got shots like that in macro mode.

    You can sorta get effects in your standard auto mode by getting as close as you can to your subject, and the camera’s natural focus will render the rest of the area sort of out of focus.

    Put the cam in macro mode (displayed by a little flower symbol) and take your pics up close to your subject.

    There isn’t much else you can do that I’m aware of.
